The Victorian Backgammon Association is currently meeting online, and not in-person, to comply with Victorian Government movement restrictions. We meet on Monday nights at 7pm on Safe Harbour Games. You can see all the instructions on how to join us on our How To Play Online page.

Welcome to the Victorian Backgammon Association

Want to play backgammon with real people in a friendly, safe environment?

Come along on a Monday night to the Victorian Backgammon Association, currently meeting online on the Safe Harbour Games site due to pandemic restrictions.

Whether you’re brand new to Backgammon, or have been playing for many years, come along and have some fun. Young or not so young, all are welcome. Play is free during the pandemic.

The purpose of the Association is to promote a safe and enjoyable community for playing Backgammon.

What To Expect

  • Enter a tournament, play a first round match. If you win, you advance to the next round. If you lose, you enter another tournament. There is always more Backgammon to play
  • If you’re a beginner, play a tournament for free, or just a fun tutorial match against some of Australia’s best players
  • Want to watch others play for a while? Go ahead. You can learn a lot this way
  • Meet new people who love playing Backgammon
  • Tournament match results are entered into the Australian Backgammon Federation national rating system. See how good you are compared to other players in Australia. Track your improvement on the Australian Backgammon Federation website.
